TIA Data Validation Check Overview for TIA Districts Submitting Data for the First Time

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This training is designed to support districts new to the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) data submission process by building a clear understanding of TIA Data Validation Checks and their role in ensuring system integrity. Participants will learn how validation checks are used to assess alignment between district-submitted data and state expectations, including connections to student growth measures, performance standards, and designation outcomes.

The session will walk through each major validation check, with an emphasis on commonly flagged areas such as alignment to Texas VAM, consistency of student growth measures across teaching assignments, and accuracy of designation distributions. District staff will engage in guided analysis of sample validation reports, identifying trends, potential root causes, and areas requiring adjustment.

By the end of the training, participants will be equipped to interpret validation results and communicate findings effectively to internal stakeholders. This session is ideal for TIA Leads, data analysts, and district staff responsible for submitting and verifying TIA data.
