Life Skills Overview and Effective Practices Lindale ISD 2021-2022

What are the expectations of a life skills teacher? Together will explore the TXCAN Rubric of Effective Practices. This TEA-supported document was a collaborative creation by the Significant Cognitive Disability Specialists at all 20 Education Service Centers. The effective practices for students with significant cognitive delays include classroom structure, visual supports, positive behavior strategies, instruction, lesson planning, IEP goal writing, communication, and assessment. This workshop is primarily for Lindale ISD and topics will be adjusted to support district needs.
