Walk in the Forest with Project Learning Tree @ Eastman Nature Center, Longview

Discover Project Learning Tree’s award-winning environmental education curriculum for educators of students in PK-8. PLT’s mission is to teach students “how to think” not “what to think” about the environment. PLT helps develop student skills in creative problem solving, critical thinking, evaluation, and research.
Learn how to use the forest as a living laboratory and teaching tool in your class. This session is for teachers of PK-8 Science, Math, Social Studies, and ELA. Wear comfortable clothing and bring insect repellent. You will spend THE ENTIRE DAY in the beautiful forest on the Eastman Chemical Company grounds in Longview.
PLT materials are correlated to the National Science and Social Studies Standards, and the Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts TEKS (http://www.plttexas.org)
Participants receive their own copy of the PreK-8 “e-book” filled with PLT activities.
We will be located at the Eastman Nature Center and lunch will be provided by Eastman.
