G/T 6-Hour Update: High School Students and Products/Performances of Professional Quality Using TPSP

According to the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students, high school graduates who have participated in services for gifted/talented students will have produced products and performances of professional quality as part of the program services. Moreover, a continuum of learning experiences must be provided that leads to the development of these products and/or performances such as those provided through the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP). (19 TAC 89.3(2)). In addition, participation in the TPSP for the development of sophisticated products and/or performances that are targeted to an audience outside the classroom is available through gifted/talented curricula. This workshop will provide secondary teachers an opportunity to explore the TPSP and ways in which to support gifted/talented high school students as they develop products and/or performances of professional quality. This session satisfies the state requirement for the annual G/T 6-hour update.
