The Texas Assessment System has greatly evolved since the passing of House Bill 3 in 2009. Every year thereafter, many assessment system changes have occurred, impacting school district practices, policies and procedures. In anticipation of the new Interim Assessment system rollout, Region One ESC will be hosting the Texas Education Agency (TEA), Student Assessment Division, for a face-to-face training. Region One school district and charter system administrators will also have an opportunity to offer feedback and ask questions regarding the current Texas Assessment System. Additionally, to better serve districts and charters, the STAAR Assessment Management System practice site will be featured for use starting in January. Lastly, an overview of the STAAR Spring administration will be shared.
