Students learn at their own pace, resulting in more differentiated instruction opportunities in their classrooms. The session will focus on teachers developing lecture videos using PowerPoint, uploading to YouTube, and then using various virtual classroom platforms for student access. Desktop or laptops with headphones/microphone, PowerPoint (newest version) and internet accessibility will be needed. Teachers may also elect to provide their own devices such as Surface-Pro or 2 in 1 Laptop with windows ink capability. The workshop participants will learn how to develop a mini lecture video from PowerPoint and upload to YouTube for student access.

Wi-Fi is an incredibly powerful resource that connects our students and educators to today's diverse and global digital learning landscape. It is used in our schools, homes, libraries, and many of our public spaces. However, it is also an incredibly complex technology. Designing, deploying, and maintaining a successful WLAN is no easy task and unfortunately, simply adding more access points isn't the answer to delivering seamless and robust connectivity. During this session, we'll share some common myths and realities surrounding Wi-Fi and what school districts should consider when evaluating WLAN technologies. We'll also discuss potential funding channels and how school districts can leverage the federal E-rate program to help procure digital learning-ready Wi-Fi for their campuses.
