Setting up the Early Childhood Environment to Support Literacy

This session will support the process for setting up learning centers in an Early Childhood Classroom, discuss the learning in centers, the curriculum for different ability levels. the versatility of centers and making the literacy connection in centers that lead to integrating learning for all young children which support early literacy development.Teachers will discuss planning center activities, rotation of centers and the teacher's role during center time. We will review the Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines' physical arrangement of spaces which promote positive early childhood outcomes.
