Differentiated Instruction: Cross-Curricular Literacy

Each student has unique learning needs which may be based on their background, readiness, skill level, and interest. Differentiated instruction (DI) is an approach to classroom lessons in which teachers plan learning activities to address each student’s needs so all children can be successful in school. In this workshop, we will address literacy in the content areas and examine ways to differentiate for learners based on interest, content and assessment options. Strategies to support English Learners, G/T students, special education students and other at risk students will be provided. Presenter: Sarah Brown Wessling
