This session will support general ed staff in providing Tier 1 interventions to students who are struggling with reading comprehension in one or more content areas. Teachers of all content areas will benefit from this session and this training is appropriate for teachers of grades 2-8. Come prepared to learn of some research-based instructional techniques that will meet the individual learning needs of your students. You will view short video clips of teachers in the classroom using these reading strategies with students. We recommend that grade level or content area teams of teachers attend together for best results in overall implementation efforts. NOTE: Please be on time for this session. No partial CPE credits will be awarded. This starts promptly at 8:30 .m. session will go until 4 p.m. -- plan accordingly. If you are unable to arrive at the start time and stay for the entire day of training, please drop this session and select another training date that best accommodates your schedule.
