PLCs v2.0: Moving Past the What and When of Planning to the How of Instruction presented by author Daniel R. Venables

This training, presented by author Daniel R. Venables, is a breath of fresh air for PLC teams who find themselves wanting more than just going through the motions of committee work to having a powerful impact on student learning. After an overview of what authentic PLCs look like, participants will engage in activities that encourage dynamic team discussions on the “how of instruction”. As the workshop progresses, participants will be guided on the use of specific tools that strengthen meaningful conversations within PLC teams. The vital role of the facilitator will be stressed and participants will engage in protocols which will examine the work of the teacher to ensure improved student achievement.
