Region One ESC, in partnership with ACT, will provide a 3 part Webinar series focused on creating opportunities for districts to address the students’ social, emotional, and academic needs with an equity lens by convening key audience stakeholders who provide critical services. It is recommended that a district team attend in order to maximize the benefit of this series. 1.) District/campus teams will understand the foundational aspects of SEL and have resources and tools available to them. 2.) Campuses and districts will gauge the level of SEL for their systems, campuses, classrooms and for the adults who are part of the system. This will support our students in the system. 3.) District/campus teams will work on improving their vision for SEL and the integration of it in their system utilizing the CASEL Rubric found here: https://schoolguide.casel.org/rubric/ 4. ) Ongoing support and communication will be provided via a clearinghouse of resources shared with all attendees. District/campus teams that include the following members: assistant superintendent, district counseling and advising director, district director for family engagement, campus deans of instruction, elementary/middle school administrators and HS administrators, outreach facilitators and coordinators, teachers, social workers and other members that team deems necessary.
