Math Language Routines that Promotes Mathematical Discourse K-12th

Math teachers are longing for resources and strategies that help make math more inclusive of diverse learners with critical thinking level in the classrooms. This training will provide educators with ways to foster student participation while building math language, practicing language as action, and deepening content. Meanwhile, simultaneously bolstering opportunities that support students to become powerful mathematical thinkers and ‘do-ers’ (Lee, Quinn & Valdés, 2013). Teachers will collaborate in tailoring language routines for their diverse students. Region One ESC will offer a four part series in succession or stand alone.
