Successfully Working with Children from Diverse Backgrounds during Speech Therapy presented by Scott Prath, MA CCC

Cultural differences, language influence, and socio-economic issues impact the success of therapy.
These issues are even more complex when intervening virtually. This presentation incorporates
three research-based strategies that have been proven to work with diverse populations and are
easily implemented virtually: speech-sound disorder techniques, curriculum-based intervention, and
literacy-based intervention. Resources to use during teletherapy will also be shared. ***NO LATE REGISTRATIONS ALLOWED***THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR PROFESSIONALS CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY REGION ONE ESC SCHOOL DISTRICTS OR CHARTER SCHOOLS***REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A ZOOM LINK 24 HRS BEFORE THE SESSION***2.5 TSHA CEUs approved
