Assistive Technology 101 For Communication presented by Vanesa Villagran

Students with Special needs use a variety of Assistive Technology (AT) supports and services to increase, maintain, or improve their functional capabilities. Do you know which students use AT? Participants will gain a better understanding on assessing student’s needs for assistive technologies. This session focuses on identifying the critical issues and actions to influence the provision of AT devices and services for program improvement. We will review procedures for AT support: Legal Issues in Assistive Technology (AT) & Considering AT in the IEP and Documenting AT in the IEP ***NO LATE REGISTRATIONS ALLOWED***THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR PROFESSIONALS CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY REGION ONE ESC SCHOOL DISTRICTS OR CHARTER SCHOOLS***REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A ZOOM LINK 24 HRS BEFORE THE SESSION***NO TSHA CREDIT WILL BE AWARDED FOR THIS SESSION
