Adult Mental Health First Aid Course (AMHFA)

This will be a virtual training that focuses on Adult Mental Health First Aid and helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. This training will be provided in collaboration with our Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) Coastal Plains Community Center. Participants are required to complete a 2-hour, self-paced online class and then participate in a 5-6 hour instructor-led videoconference session via ZOOM.

Brooks County ISD Schools and Region One ESC Staff Only- All school employees are eligible including but not limited to: administrators, educators, support staff, substitute teachers, coaches, bus drivers, and cafeteria staff.
