Session 1: Kay Pranis-Foundations of Restorative Practices and Q&A. The Restorative Practices (RP) Coordinators Support Group is a collaborative effort between several Education Service Centers across Texas. The Restorative Practices Coordinators Support Group is a virtual platform for education leaders/coordinators responsible for campus or district Restorative Practices implementation. Representatives from districts across the regions of Texas will come together to share reflective thinking, have open dialogue, problem solve, and network with other coordinators in building campus and district capacity for effective and successful Restorative Practices implementation. Build your campuses and district's capacity for effective RP practices to improve relationships with students, teachers, families and improve school climate. Gain practical information and various approaches for maintaining buy-in, improving implementation fidelity, and utilizing RP within an MTSS framework. Participants will explore strategies to embed social and emotional learning, cultural responsiveness, and equitable practices. Online resources, feedback, and support will be available during the session. Join the RP Coordinators Support Group because partnerships yield progress! These sessions are two hours, four times a year, and free for participants.
Our first session will feature Kay Pranis author of the book Circle Forward. She will be presenting on the foundations of Restorative Practices followed by a Q&A. A zoom link will be sent in your registration confirmation email.
