Building Self-Determination and Self-Advocacy in Students with Autism

This session is a half day, face-to-face session that will provide information on building self-determination and self-advocacy skills for students with Autism to assist school districts in developing practices for Student led ARDs. Strategies will focus on building self-determination skills, goal setting, and self-advocacy as well as recommendations for appropriate ages of student involvement at various stages of transition planning.
