Nonviolent Crisis Intervention - Instructor Certification Program

The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training program, developed by CPI is embraced worldwide as a highly effective behavior management system for organizations to providing quality care and services in a respectful, safe environment. Training offers a solid foundation to structure prevention and intervention approaches based on a philosophy of providing the best possible Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security for staff and those they are responsible for even during a crisis situation. Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to train their staff in safe, nonharmful intervention strategies and techniques to manage confrontational, disruptive, or out of control individuals. The training includes preventive techniques and de-escalation strategies. Participants in the Instructor Certification Program
must attend the full four days and successfully complete an Instructor Practicum, the competency-based physical testing, and a written examination to receive Instructor certification. **New Instructor certification candidates -$1,425 per person (limited slots available); Four-day legacy renewal candidates - $600 (limited slots available); Certified Instructors who have previously completed the Instructor Certification (or Renewal) Program with enhanced content and are seeking to fulfill their two year instructor proficiency requirement may attend the first two days of the program for a fee of $400 each. Please contact Marissa Chavana at (956)984-6241 to indicate which program you will be attending and with any questions regarding fees and purchase orders.
