WEBINAR - Using Descriptive Teaching to Support Pre-Literate Students Using AAC Devices in General & Special Education Classrooms

This webinar describes the theory and practice of the Descriptive Teaching Model, an approach that focuses on the use of core vocabulary to define and talk about key concepts in classroom lessons in both the special and general education classroom. Descriptive teaching is used with students who are pre-literate or insufficiently literate to use spelling to communicate content-specific words in classroom lessons. The webinar describes the power and practice of Descriptive Teaching, along with a collaborative model for its use with special and general education teachers. 2.5 TSHA CEUs.
