Movement Sequences and Strategies for Students with Autism, DCD (developmental coordination disorder) and OHI

This one-day training introduces PTs, OTs and special education teachers to more than 45 developmentally-safe, simple and engaging five-step sequence and strategy options to improve the body-brain connection and support academic learning in autism, DCD (developmental coordination disorder) and OHI (other health impairment). Research shows that students who receive a balance of physical and mental stimulation at school are better learners. Teachers who incorporate movement in their classrooms also discover what one researcher describes as "learning [that] seems to proceed more rapidly per unit of classroom time".
