Collegiate Counselors' Academy

Region One Education Service Center extends its invitation to join a capacity building opportunity designed to assist secondary counselors with key information that ensures all students are well prepared for college and /or ready for a career and life. We will examine successful practices with the implementation and monitoring of personalized student learning plans which ensure successful completion of a rigorous course of study and a seamless transition to post-secondary education. Key topics to be addressed throughout the 4 day academy include:
September 29, 2016 HB5 Graduation requirements
October 13, 2016 Financial Aid/Scholarships
November 3, 2016 College Entrance Requirements
January 27, 2017 Adressing Social Emotional Needs– Conflict resolution/Self-esteem/bullying
