Drug Impairment Training for Education Professionals (DITEP)

The course objectives are to describe the involvement of drugs in schools and society; review the signs and symptoms of the seven drug categories; outline the important elements of the Texas Education Code, Texas Pena Code, and an effective school policy as they relate to drug and/or alcohol use and possession; and identify medical condition and other situations that can produce similar signs of impairment and appropriate procedures.
