FNP Laredo SW - Inventory Receiving/Produce Receiving and Safety

This course combines inventory management and produce receiving and storing. Participants will identify Inventory best practices, efficient supply chains, and calculate food costs and inventory turnover. Also, participants wukk Identify recommended practices for handling and preparing fresh produce using FDA recommendation, identify recommended practices for serving foods in the classroom and on salad bars, Identify the types of fresh produce quality defects, condition defect and discuss how quality and condition affect the grade of fresh produce. Identify best practices for receiving, storing fresh produce and identify common items associated with foodborne illness outbreaks.
