McAllen ISD ONLY - Twice Exceptional and G/T: Serving Students with Multiple Special Needs

Twice Exceptional Learners have unique characteristics that may mask their giftedness. This session will help teachers, counselors and administrators understand students with double exceptionalities. The nature and needs of 2e (twice exceptional) students, their curriculum needs and their opportunities to thrive in a gifted classroom will be explored. Curriculum differentiation using the Texas Performance Standards Project will be presented as a way to meets the needs of this special population.
