Bilingual Assessment Strategies for Monolingual Diagnosticians

The intersection between a language difference and a language-based disability is not always clear. Separating these differences often requires a broader set of skills than the monolingual evaluator possesses. This session will add to the skill set of monolingual evaluator when identifying language-based disorders. Assessment tools and strategies, specifically the primary and ancillary approach will be the primary focus as well as instructional and intervention strategies.
