FNP - Fresh Produce Procurement "To Bid or not To Bid"

The purpose of this workshop is to help those involved with the purchasing process of fresh produce to understand the importance of proper procurement. It is designed to help procurement professionals recognize the dilemma of purchasing fresh produce and give participants the tools necessary to make sound, ethical decisions. We will also discuss various types of procurement and how to write effective general terms and conditions for produce contracts. The workshop contains lecture, discussion; and roundtable group exercises to develop strong general terms and conditions and RFP drafts. This is a peer led workgroup.

Child Nutrition Directors, Assistant Directors, Buyers and any personnel directly involved in the weekly quotation or purchase of produce.
