Adapting Academics

Working in the special education field, we are often tasked with the dating job of creating a curriculum for our students. We don't always have a roadmap to follow and no one hands you the perfect textbook for each of your students. In this session, learn how to create a functional and appropriate curriculum guide for a wide range of types of learners. We will explore how to use discrete trial training, fluency instruction, and other direct instruction methods to build up these foundational skills.

Special education teachers (self-contained, life skills, etc.), paraprofessionals, and any educational professional working with students with special needs.
