FNP: Non-Program Foods Training (La Joya ISD CNP Building)

A definition of the term ‘nonprogram food along with an explanation of the differences between nonprogram foods and reimbursable foods; A brief background on the requirement and information regarding recent guidance from TDA and how to be compliant with this requirement. Exercises for costing out food and obtaining a proportionate cost analysis for foods sold will be conducted.

This training will assist you in determining if your organization’s nonprogram food costs and revenue, and your organization’s total food program costs and revenue are in proportion.
A review of the following forms will be conducted
• Resource Management Summary a form that is required to be filled out during an administrative review
• TDA Non Program Foods Worksheet required during a comprehensive review of non-program foods.
• USDA Non Program Revenue Tool

These worksheets assist your organization to determine compliance with this requirement.
