Differentiated Instruction with Effective Questioning Techniques

In this session, participants will focus on the key principles of a differentiated classroom where a teacher understands, appreciates, and builds upon student differences such as learning styles, skill levels, background experiences and knowledge, and social and emotional development. The training will also provide how best practices, in an effective, differentiated classroom, are based on students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles, while utilizing the type of quality, questioning techniques that target a deeper, conceptual, and procedural understanding of the content under study so as to increase student understanding and mastery of curriculum goals. Such engagement requires that students be self-aware and active thinkers. The framing of quality questions are at the core of teaching, learning, and assessment.
