DONNA HIGH SCHOOL ONLY - State of Texas A-F Accountability Rating System

The 85th Texas Legislature passed HB 22 that brings forth a new accountability system consisting of three Domains: Domain I – Student Achievement, Domain II – School Progress, and Domain III – Closing the Gaps. HB 22 also requires that the Commissioner of Education evaluate school district and campus performance with letter ratings of A, B, C, D, or F.

In August 2018, school districts and charter systems will receive evaluations based on the new State Accountability Domain Framework and the A-F rating system. While districts will receive an A-F rating, campuses will receive a campus rating of Met Standard or Improvement Required. However, campuses are expected to receive a TEA “What If” A-F Domain rating report as early as August 2018 and as late as January 2019. In support of this State Accountability Transition for 2018 and Beyond, Region One ESC will be providing school district, charter school system, and campus level leadership with Regional training sessions to fully inform on this transition to greater focus on performance, growth, and equity for all students.

These Regional training sessions will provide an opportunity for learning and engaged participation to navigate the domain framework, key indicators, identified measures, and methodologies informing school system leadership of Texas’ new accountability system.
