In each of these one-hour sessions, Dr. Louis will role play how to instruct students on annotating passages (6E) and making inferences (5F) while
reading a passage. Dr. Louis will also train teachers in revision (10C) and editing (10D) techniques on the multiple-choice sections of the STAAR End-of-Course Exams.
All passages will come from UTRGV-selected passages, including textbook, novel/drama/short story, and/or STAAR End-of-Course released exams from years 2012-2018. The passage selections are based on item analysis data on areas of weaknesses.
