Guiding the Gifted: Meeting the Needs of Advanced Learners

This blended learning workshop is designed to support middle school Honors and Gifted/Talented Fine Arts teachers in meeting the needs of gifted learners. Participants will explore research-based strategies that enrich the depth and complexity of the core curriculum and enable the teacher to differentiate and adjust the pacing of lessons. Some topics include: the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students, Social Emotional Learning, Kaplan’s Depth & Complexity, Question Formulation Technique, and the Texas Performance Standards Project.
