821- Multisensory Teaching Approach (MTA)

Special Education teachers will attend professional development focusing on the Multisensory Teaching Approach (MTA). All trainings will be held virtually and directed towards assisting students in grades K-8. The purpose of the training is to provide quality training for teachers so they may effectively implement the MTA as the district’s dyslexia education program or remedial Special Education program. MTA may also be used as a Response-to-Intervention reading program. Sessions for the initial training are 5-Day session June 7-11, 2021. Teachers who attend this five-day session will be provided a stipend of $19.00 per hour. **Select Special Education Teachers Grades K-8 will be invited to attend.**
