MULTI-GENRE AND MULTI-MODAL: THE INTERCONNECTEDNESS OF READING AND WRITING IN THE HIGH SCHOOL RLA CLASSROOM - G/T

This session will focus on strategies designed to facilitate growth in your learners' critical thinking skills and academic oracy (proficiency in oral expression and comprehension), strategies to create authentic reading experiences, and strategies to provide reflective writing opportunities in your Reading and Language Arts classroom. Participants will explore how to integrate oracy, reading, and writing instruction to ensure learners understand the interconnected nature of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking. Offered both in-person and via synchronous Zoom. Participants who choose to attend virtually will receive an emailed Zoom link closer to workshop date.
