DEMONSTRATE THINKING STRATEGIES WITH A MENTOR TEXT: IMPROVING COMPREHENSION (GRADES K-2)

Participants will learn the difference between modeling a book vs. thinking aloud their thought process and strategies to comprehend. This is key to enhancing a student’s ability to learn how to develop vocabulary, infer information, analyze the text, and demonstrate how to synthesize the information to develop a student’s new understandings.
