Getting Ready for 22-23: FCS Educators

Gather with other Family Consumer Science teachers within our area to prepare for the 22-23 school year. Participants share take-aways from summer conference, share lesson plans, and project ideas. This is a great opportunity to network with area FCS teachers and discuss best practices and problem solve. We will start our day at the ESC but travel to Mr. T's Deli to work exclusively with Chef Daniel Fredrick on restaurant management. Lunch is included! Chef Fredrick will provide insight into a day in the life of a restaurant owner, specially the business side of culinary arts. Topics include: how to set up/running a restaurant or business plan; writing a restaurant menu: what works/ food expenses/ efficiency/ time/ food waste. As well as how to operate a successful catering service.
