SUPPORTING A COLLEGE-GOING CULTURE IN ARTS & HUMANITIES AND BEYOND - HGH SCHOOL ARTS & HUMANITIES TEACHERS

Angelo State invites high school art, English, history, government, music, and theatre teachers to join us on the ASU Campus for a trade day. ASU administration and staff will share new initiatives at the university, financial aid and scholarship opportunities for students, and how to talk to your students about attending college. In the afternoon, teachers will work in smaller groups with ASU College of Arts & Humanities faculty in their respective disciplines. ASU faculty will take attendees on a tour of arts/humanities facilities, discuss how faculty engage students in the classroom, and discuss how ASU can serve high school arts and humanities students in the region. After registration, a survey will be sent to all attendees to gather feedback on specific areas attendees would like to cover at the event. ASU will have multiple presenters from the College of Arts and Humanities. Lunch is provided.
