NEW TEACHER FOLLOW UP SESSION

This session is designed to support teachers new to teaching (0-3 years). Student engagement, lesson planning will be addressed in this session, along with another installment of the Behavior Bites series, Consequences. During the Consequences portion of this session, we will discuss the importance of understanding how we respond to our students’ behavior (both appropriate and inappropriate). Three components of behavior change will be discussed: Positive Reinforcement (to be used following appropriate behaviors) and Extinction & Punishment (to be used following inappropriate behaviors). Participants will have an opportunity to brainstorm examples.
