It’s Not Their Fault: Shifting Our Mindset to Promote Change in the Classroom

In a class of 30 students, seven will experience some kind of mental health challenge, eight have been physically abused, six have been sexually abused, seven are children of divorce, four have witnessed domestic violence in the home, and 3 will attempt suicide at some point prior to the end of their K-12 experience. The range of individual experiences in your classroom require an educator poised and ready to address the needs of all students equitably. This workshop will provide practical strategies to shift your mindset and address the most challenging behaviors in your classroom.
