AM I IN THE PICTURE BOOK? DEVOTION TO DIVERSITY - PRESENTED BY SUZANNE BLOOM (AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR) PRE K & KINDER

When children see themselves in the books they read, it validates their place in literature. Sharing that place with other characters whose age, ability, color, shape, or culture is different provides a blueprint for the future. Suzanne Bloom will use her own books and other authors / illustrators contemporary examples to help participants explore the importance of a diverse representation in children’s picture books during this hands-on workshop.
