Workshop Registration Details

The district/site identified type of session and focus area will determine which of the following research-based instructional strategies and practices are incorporated: alignment of units to the learning standards, cognitive level and rigor of units, responsive strategies reflected in lesson plans, developing academic vocabulary, age and culture appropriate practices, and activities to improve student learning.

District teachers will gain personalized support in a pre-determined area of interest.
Teachers will examine, discuss, and practice identified Early Childhood best practices.
Teachers will examine previous lessons and discuss strategies to improve student engagement and learning.
Teachers will leave with updated or newly planned lessons to use in the classroom.

This is for Whitehouse ISD only.

Each 6 hour Early Childhood session will include 4 hours of Experiential Professional Development and 2 hours of Peer and Collaborative Coaching with Lesson Design to support teachers fulfilling the 15 hour PD and 15 hour Coaching HQPK teacher quality requirements. Please bring your laptop, tablet, standards, and any other materials needed to complete your coaching and planning time.

Teachers will discuss the instructional practices during the first 4 hours. The last 2 hours will involve examining lessons, collaborating, and planning. Please bring standards, curricular materials, and a laptop or tablet.
