Child Sexual Abuse Prevention and Awareness for Educators

Child sexual assault and abuse and dating violence are areas of concern that can adversely impact the lives of our students. This workshop identifies, examines, and offers preventive methods to assist educators in preventing sexual assault, abuse, and dating violence. Our presenter is Dr. David Scott, an assistant professor with the University of Texas at Tyler, who works with child advocacy centers throughout east Texas and serves as a public policy coordinator for the Texas Council on Family Violence. Dr. Scott's work consists of preventive, investigatory, and dispositions for child sexual assault and dating violence cases.
