Workshop Registration Details

Does your district, campus, or classroom environment send the message that mathematics is valued? Join me for a mathematize journey where we create and foster a growth mindset that everyone can and will be successful at math. This session will be structured from the book "Mathematizing Your School: Creating a Culture for Math Success" by Janet Nuzzie and Dr. Nicki Newton. Some of the ideas include exploring ways of getting the entire school campus excited about math. We will look at some practical tools to boost student proficiency, encourage collaboration between staff members, and make math an essential part of school life. Participants will have the opportunity to earn up to 6 credit hours. 1-hour of pre-work (starts one week before the workshop -participants turn in finished work at this workshop, 4-hours for this face-to-face meeting, and 1-hour of post-work (ends 72 business hours after the workshop ends -must turn in finished work to Jane Tarr). After day 1, continued year-long support will follow as we read and apply the book. If your campus wants specialized campus training, please contact Jane Tarr about setting this up for your campus.
Participants will need a copy of the book "Mathematizing Your School: Creating a Culture for Math Success" by Janet Nuzzie and Dr. Nicki Newton.
