Description

Cultural disproportionality has been an issue for school districts for over 50 years. This workshop will explore the role that assessment practices have played in this matter. Participants will review historical practices behind assessments, including the origin of cognitive assessments. This workshop examines different biases in assessment practices that can lead to disproportionality. Resources and action steps that evaluation personnel can use to improve their practice will be shared.
