Small Group Instruction

One effective way to differentiate learning is to balance large group instruction with the use of small, flexible groups. Through small groups, teachers can accommodate all learners by varying the size, materials, tasks, purposes, and support level for each group. In small groups, everyone is engaged, and everyone has a voice. Students can sometimes learn more from each other than they can from the teacher. Strategies will be shared to use during small group lessons.
