#4 Title: Balancing the ABCs

This session is intended to identify the essential components necessary to teach alphabet knowledge to young children. Participants will learn about the important skills and outcomes students need to achieve in prekindergarten through research-based instructional strategies for early childhood Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 teachers. Participants will also acquire alphabet knowledge through activities that will enhance their teaching strategies in the classroom. They will be provided with opportunities to engage in alphabet songs, rhymes, games, and center activities. This professional development is aligned to the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines.
