This overview session will provide information regarding the process of second language (English) acquisition, and strategies for assessing the language of children who are not fluent speakers of English. Cultural diversity considerations for speech-language assessment will also be discussed. General strategies for culture-fair testing will be explained. 2.5 TSHA CEUs.
