Supporting Rigorous Instruction for STAAR Success in Middle School Science (s3strategies)

The key to STAAR success at all grade levels is ensuring classroom instruction matches the cognitive demands found in the standards. In this workshop, participants will learn the value of strong alignment between instructional practices and the rigor level of state standards. Participants will be challenged to evaluate their teaching practices for alignment. Teachers will experience strategies to take back to their classroom that are aimed at ensuring all students are engaged, supported and held
accountable for performing at the appropriate level defined by their TEKS. This workshop can be tailored to a content/grade level specific audience or a combined mixed audience.
