High School Curriculum Team: Study of Readiness and Alignment of Processing Learning Skills (Science Curriculum)

High School Science teachers will analyze TEKS tested on STAAR and local assessment data to revisit and revise if needed, current instructional practices. Teachers will review specific SEs (student expectations) as outlined in each of the science content areas and to target student mastery of course content and skills. Teachers will focus on effective delivery of instruction by examining data for correlation to best learning practices. Teachers will also embed instructional strategies focused on literacy development and comprehension through questioning. Teachers will review student sample work to evaluate the impact of their instructional decisions.
