Diabetes Management in School (7-22-21 @ 9:00 AM)

Complete Attendance

Nurses will learn/review the disease process for diabetes, the common types of diabetes we see in school, diabetic medications such as insulin & glucagon administration, carbohydrate counting, signs and symptoms of low/high blood sugar, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, long term complications of diabetes, guidelines on when to call emergency medical services, & 504 recommendations.
